ASUS Vivobook Pro 14 OLED

Build quality: The top lid is entirely made of metal, and touching the surface of the lid feels cool. However, the bottom part is made of plastic, though the quality is excellent. Concerning the touchpad, it appears to have some sort of glass layer on it, whenever I use it, I feel as if I am sliding a finger across a mobile device, it is super smooth and feels premium. And I like the way how they have implemented to hide the front facing camera by putting a sliding shield that is really awesome.

I/O: This is where ASUS really disappoint me, man this is 2022 how the f*ck asus has given USB 2.0 ports in the laptop, you get 1 USB 3.2 port along with SD card reader port. Since there is no type C port, the port implementation has been a cost-cutting measure.

Total ports : 1x HDMI 1.4, 1x 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 2x USB 2.0 Type-A, Micro SD card reader

Display: This is where this laptop excels on a whole new level. It’s not full HD, nor is it 2K, but it’s 2.8K, which blew my mind when I first saw it. It’s as if you’re carrying a portable OLED TV. In terms of display, not even the most mighty MacBook Pro can compete. Furthermore, since it is an oled, using black wallpaper will increase SOT.

Sound: The sound is surprisingly good, I never expected this kind of audio from a Windows laptop, but Asus nailed it by including a harmon-kardon audio system. Of course, it is not as good as on Macbooks, but it is significantly better than the laptops in this price range.

Battery: I was getting 5.5 hours of screen on time, Usage : Photoshop, Netflix, Surfing, Office

Gaming: I don’t intend to game on it, already have a gaming PC, but I did play some games on it to test it. I would not recommend purchasing this laptop for gaming purposes. You can play mini games or CPU-centric games because the processor used here is extremely powerful.

Warranty Upgrade: There is currently an offer where you can pay Rs. 2499 and get three years of total warranty since it has an OLED panel. I would highly recommend getting this as soon as you purchase the laptop.

Sale price: The laptop’s normal price is Rs 60,000 for the 8GB variant and Rs. 65,000 for the 16GB variant, but thanks to the Amazon Great India Sale, the 16GB variant is now as low as 53K, and you also get a 5000 instant discount through SBI credit card, making the laptop’s final price 48K. An absolute killer deal indeed.
